Dr. Charlotte Boettiger, an Associate Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience, has been selected as a 2015 National Academy of Sciences Kavli Fellow.
The National Academy of Sciences’ Kavil Frontiers of Sciences annual symposium brings together outstanding young scientists to discuss exciting advances and opportunities in a broad range of disciplines. Kavil Frontiers of Sciences hopes to encourage collaborations among some of the world’s best and brightest young scientists.
Attendees are selected by a committee of Academy members. Attendees are young researchers who have already made recognized contributions to science, including recipients of major national fellowships and awards, and who have been identified as future leaders in science. Since its inception in 1989, more than 170 fellows have been elected to the National Academy of Sciences and 10 have been awarded Nobel Prizes.
Dr. Boettiger will attend the 2015 U.S. Kavil Frontiers of Science Symposium, held November 4 – 7, 2015, in Irvine, California.
