Deirdre Sackett, a graduate student in Behavioral Neuroscience, is the recipient of a 2016 National Institutes of Health F31 Predoctoral Fellowship.

The NIH Predoctoral Fellowship is awarded to graduate students with supervised research training in specified health and health-related areas leading toward the research degree.

Deirdre received a total award of over $65,000 (over two years) for her project, “Neurobiological Investigation of Delay Discounting: Role of Prelimbic Cortex and the Nucleus Accumbens Circuit.”
