Ronald Kim, a graduate student in Behavioral and Integrative Neuroscience, is the recipient of the 2017 King Research Excellence Award.

This award honors the late Dr. Richard King, a Professor of Psychology at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, for his many contributions to our department over the years. This award recognizes research excellence.

Ronald plans to use a King Award to further his research and work towards dissertation completion. He recently submitted an F31 National Research Service Award which scored 23% on his first try and he is currently preparing for re-submission. Ronald is also preparing a re-submission of a first-authored manuscript to Neuropharmacology and is first-author on a paper currently under review at Progress in Biological Psychiatry and Neuropharmacology.
